During the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve seen how much we can achieve when we all work together.

Ending homelessness is within our reach – if we act now.

We have seen individuals, government, and industry work together to achieve the extraordinary, like finding temporary housing for thousands in the span of a few weeks.

We’ve also continued providing a range of support, from supplies to mental health and legal services. And we’ve campaigned to prevent others from losing their homes by stopping evictions and increasing housing benefits.

But our work is not over. As lockdown eases, many people face returning to the streets or to uncertain, unstable and sometimes dangerous living situations. And others are being pushed to the brink of homelessness for the first time.

Unless we do something now and enact long-term as well as short-term solutions, this progress will slip and risks being undone.

The end of homelessness feels within reach, but only if we work together to make it happen. Every action or donation, no matter the size, will help.

Please make a donation today to help us make sure there is now a secure, permanent home for all.

What we're doing

During the outbreak, our frontline staff have played a vital role in helping people into safe accommodation.

Now we are helping people leaving temporary forms of accommodation find somewhere secure and permanent to live. And we are working to prevent people becoming homeless because of the pandemic.

With your support, we are:

  • Helping people leaving temporary accommodation to find a permanent home
  • Providing advice and practical help to people newly facing homelessness
  • Providing the support people need to keep their homes – with mental health, wellbeing, work and benefits
  • Calling for governments to commit to ensuring everyone has a safe and settled home
  • Supporting local organisations to provide permanent housing through a grants scheme

Your support will help us make sure there is a home for all. Thank you.

Henry (7) was inspired by Captain Tom (100) to run a Marathon in 10 days to support Crisis. This in turn inspired other children to fundraise in "Henry's Half Term Challenge". All this because he believes that together we can #EndHomelessness and he wants to help make it happen.

'I am 60 and was born in Jamaica. When I was 35 I left Jamaica and came to Wales, to be with my mother who had been living here a long time. I was working 2 jobs, as a mechanic in the day time and in a double glazing factory at night. I managed to save up £120,000.'

'While at school, I did well at athletics and I was in the under-18 Scottish athletics team. I had also signed up for military training. However, I fell off a horse when I was 17 and this was the end of that career choice and the beginning of my health problems.'

Hazel shares her experiences from managing teams on the frontline in our response to coronavirus.

Grant shares how services in Scotland have responded and how members are coping during the outbreak.
